Week of 2026-09-28

Low-time format: 2 fully-cooked dishes, alternated Mon-Fri so most weeknights are pure reheat with no assembly. This week each dish is cooked fresh the first day it's eaten (Poha Mon, Matar Paneer Tue) instead of both being batch-made on one prep day, since paneer needed to thaw first. Portions are for 1 person. Weekends are handled separately (not covered by this file).

No rice this week (out of stock) โ€” Poha doesn't need it (it's made from flattened rice flakes, not the raw grain), and Matar Paneer is served with naan/roti instead this time.

Shopping List

Check groceries/INVENTORY.md first โ€” this excludes what's on hand (paneer, onions, garlic, ginger, Thai chilis, ghee, poha). No turmeric โ€” out until early October, both recipes are written turmeric-free.

(Kasuri methi for Matar Paneer and true Kashmiri chili powder can wait for the Indian store trip โ€” see groceries/SHOPPING-LIST.md. Curry leaves for Poha are the same story โ€” optional, and easiest to get there too.)
